Catamaran Charter Corfu

On a Corfu catamaran charter with Borrow a Boat you can explore much of the Ionian Sea within an easy sail. Whatever you want from a Greece yacht charter, from its beautiful beaches and excellent food to its vibrant culture, a Corfu yacht charter is going to be an unforgettable experience.

Run by a range of different empires through the ages, and only Greek for the last 150 years, the Ionian island of Corfu may well have Greek as its main language, but its culture and history is very much its own. One of the oldest holiday destinations for British package holidaymakers, and dominated by that empire for many years, a Brit will feel very at home here! That said, so will Italians, with the Venetian empire running it for centuries before... Many say that its beautiful beaches are some of the very best in Greece, and this in turn has helped Corfu become such a successful holiday destination.

The Ionian Islands differ from the other Greek islands - the Dodecanese Islands, Saronic Islands, Sporades Island and other Aegean Islands - thanks to their location. On the surface the Ionian Sea has a different temperament with the Bora winds being gentler during the sailing season, but the geography has meant that they have different histories. The Dodecanese Islands are just off the Turkish coast and have been a flashpoint between Turkey and Greece since pre-Ottoman times. This has impacted their foods, cultures and histories in different ways.

Corfu Island is one of the seven Ionian Islands on the calm and beautiful Ionian Sea. Possibly based at the island's main Gouvia Marina on Gouvia Bay, your boat charter will likely take you on to see smaller islands such as Paxos Island and Antipaxos, or larger ones like Lefkada and Kefalonia as you explore the region on your luxury yacht charter.

On a Corfu catamaran charter you can explore as much or as little as you want. Perhaps a sandy beach or two for swimming out of the sight of others is your thing? A week or two Greek island hopping will show you many such opportunities, while those who want to use their luxury yacht as a party base to hit the tavernas with a vengeance will have plenty of room for that! Your Greece yacht charter opens the doors to it all!
