Shipyard De Boer built the 'Vrouwe Augustina' in 1912. This flat-bottomed boat originally served as a cargo ship to transport peat and cattle over the Frisian lakes and the Zuiderzee. A cabin was out of the question back then. In 1972, the little ship was given a new function as a yacht, thanks to a number of renovations. In 2000, her age and authentic character earned her a place as sailing heritage in the Dutch studbook of round and flat-bottomed yachts. In 2012, the Vrouwe Augustina received her current sail plan and a new name: the 'Augustina'. Marijn Daniels and Natalie Huyghe purchased this little tjalk in 2019 and registered her under the Belgian flag.
