7 Days - Adriatic Coast and Islands: Split or Trogir will be your mid-point on this sailing vacation to the SE of Zadar. Via the Zadar Archipelago you will head to the Kornati Island group as a second night. Perhaps pausing for an evening to appreciate the Dragon's Eye of Rognozica, head on to Hvar, famed for its beaches and buzz. Marina Kastela near Trogir will allow you to visit Split, and then back via Sibenik and its beautiful national park to Zadar for handover.

14 Days - Dubrovnik and the Croatian Coast: Involving some longer legs, you will head SE, taking in the Kornati island group and Zadar archipelago before exploring the Dalmatian Islands and the ones off Dubrovnik before your SE end point at the ancient and beautiful city that once was capital of the Ragusan Empire. Do You Need A Licence To Charter A Catamaran In Zadar?

If you are on a captained catamaran charter you do not need a license to sail out of Zadar, you can just turn up at the marina and go.

You do need a license if you are on a bareboat catamaran charter and in some countries such as Croatia a day captain or ICC may not be enough for boats over 45 feet in length, you will need to check with the charter agent but here are some examples of typical sailing qualifications that will allow you to charter in most countries:

International Certificate of Competence: This is issued on request by your European sailing authority and you should automatically qualify with certain national sailing qualifications.

RYA Qualifications: If you have the following qualifications you will typically be able to take a bareboat charter out of Zadar (but it is worth checking as per above), these include Day Captain ( sail or motor endorsement), Coastal Captain or Yachtmaster.
