Thanks to its central location, you can easily choose to explore either the south or the north of the island in one week, with easy access to all the must-see sites.
Before setting off with your boat, the vacation begins the moment you arrive! On Saturday, before picking up your boat, enjoy the city: stroll through the local market to stock up on typical Corsican products. Then visit the House of Napoleon, a place full of history, or discover the Grotte de Napoléon, where the emperor liked to go.
If you head south:

- Boat
- I've been chartering boats for 20 years, and this was by far the worst boat I've ever had. The anchor winch could only be lowered by hand; there were no markings on the chain and no depth gauge. Now anchor properly. The diesel tank was broken; if you have more than 50% diesel, it spills out.
- Charter
- Response from the charter: keep the engine running and use diesel. I don't have enough characters to describe everything here, it's an endless list and absolutely no service, stay away!!!
- Location
- The Corsicans, as we noticed, are generally rather unfriendly; they hate it when you speak their language poorly, and even more so when you speak English. In any case, there's no service on site, no trolleys for luggage, etc.

License & Skipper Services

Security deposit
A refundable €6,000 security deposit will have to be paid at check-in. Like car rentals, boat charters require a refundable security deposit to cover accidental damage. The amount varies by boat model and is returned after inspection if no damage is found.
Insurance
This boat is managed by a professional charter company with comprehensive insurance. Your liability for damages is limited to the security deposit. For added peace of mind, you can protect your deposit by purchasing deposit insurance.

What happens when I request a quote?
Once we receive your request, we will confirm the availability of the boat, as well as check for alternative ones. To ensure your experience is the best it can be, we may contact you to discuss your request in detail. Let us do the research for you - free of charge.
When can I get in touch with the captain/skipper?
The timing depends on your charter type. For crewed charters, we can provide the captain's contact details upon request. For bareboat charters with a hired skipper, you can request the contact information 1-3 weeks before departure.
What is the Charter Fee?
The Charter Fee is an additional, obligatory cost, which typically includes the end cleaning of the boat, home port fees, and linen & towels. The details of the charter fee differ depending on the boat, location and charter partner.
Are there any other costs I should be aware of?
There are marina fees and fuel costs which vary depending on the type, duration and location of your sailing holiday. Marina fees need to be paid at each marina you choose to dock overnight - the amount varies but you may be able to find this information in advance by contacting the marinas directly. Fuel costs depend on whether you’re sailing a motorboat or a sailboat. You can estimate fuel costs by double-checking your chosen boat’s engine, and the expected distance you aim to sail.
