What documents do I need to provide for my booking?

Before your charter, the charter company needs three things from you: the crew list, your skipper licence (if you skipper yourself) and your arrival time.

Crew list

A list of everyone on board, including you. The local authorities need it to know exactly who is on the boat when it leaves the marina, and it tells rescue services how many people are on board in an emergency. What exactly goes on the list depends on the country and the charter company; our customer service team helps you with it. More: What is a crew list?

Skipper licence

If you skipper the boat yourself, upload your skipper licence. It has to be valid for the boat you rent. In some places you can rent without a licence, so check this when you book. Not sure your licence is accepted? Your booking agent can check it for you. More: What boat license do I need?

Estimated time of arrival (ETA)

Not a document, but just as important. Charter companies use your ETA to plan the check-ins, so that boats are ready on time and nobody waits long when many crews arrive on the same day.
