Boat charter in Bahamas

Charter a Catamaran in the Bahamas

Charter a catamaran in the Bahamas from Nassau, Marsh Harbour or Georgetown and explore 700 islands across shallow turquoise banks and protected anchorages. Catamarans suit the Bahamas perfectly - their shallow draft reaches banks and cuts between islands where monohulls cannot go, while dual hulls provide stability in the Atlantic swell and space to live aboard for week-long island-hopping. Depart Nassau for the Exuma Cays, push south to the Jumentos, or head north to the Abacos - each route offers calm banks, white-sand anchorages and isolated settlements unreachable by charter company restrictions elsewhere.

When can I get in touch with the captain/skipper?
The timing depends on your charter type. For crewed charters, we can provide the captain's contact details upon request. For bareboat charters with a hired skipper, you can request the contact information 1-3 weeks before departure.
What is the Charter Fee?
The Charter Fee is an additional, obligatory cost, which typically includes the end cleaning of the boat, home port fees, and linen & towels. The details of the charter fee differ depending on the boat, location and charter partner.
Are there any other costs I should be aware of?
There are marina fees and fuel costs which vary depending on the type, duration and location of your sailing holiday. Marina fees need to be paid at each marina you choose to dock overnight - the amount varies but you may be able to find this information in advance by contacting the marinas directly. Fuel costs depend on whether you’re sailing a motorboat or a sailboat. You can estimate fuel costs by double-checking your chosen boat’s engine, and the expected distance you aim to sail.

Discover a tropical paradise of swirling turquoise waters, pristine sandbars, and swimming pigs from the deck of a spacious multihull. A catamaran charter in the Bahamas is the absolute best way to explore the spectacular Exumas or Abacos. Why Rent a Catamaran in the Bahamas?

The Essential Shallow Draft: The Bahamas are defined by shallow sandbanks and reefs. A catamaran’s shallow draft is not just a luxury here; it is a necessity, allowing you to access the most beautiful, untouched spots that deep-keeled monohulls simply cannot reach.

  • Expansive Outdoor Living: Bahamian weather is stunning year-round. Catamarans offer massive forward nets and wide aft cockpits, giving your group plenty of space to dine al fresco, sunbathe, and stargaze.
  • Unmatched Stability: Enjoy a peaceful, flat platform both underway and at anchor, ensuring everyone on board feels relaxed and comfortable while taking in the endless ocean views.
Captain’s Insider Tip: Navigating by Eye “In the Bahamas, you navigate by reading the water colors. Dark blue means deep water, vibrant turquoise is safe cruising depth, and brown/yellow means coral or sandbars. Because the sand shifts, always sail with the sun high and behind you so you can clearly see the depth changes!”
