Plans change. This is what happens when you cancel a booking with Borrow A Boat, depending on when you cancel. The binding version is section 5 of our terms and conditions.
Before the charter company confirms your booking
You can cancel at any time and free of charge, and you get a full refund. Contact our customer support team and we will cancel the booking for you.
After the charter company has confirmed your booking
Contact our customer support team to request the cancellation. What you get back depends on when you cancel:
- Up to 5 days after confirmation: we keep an administrative fee of 12% (unless you agreed something else).
- Later, but up to 45 days before arrival: we keep 50% of the total price.
- Less than 45 days before arrival: no refund. The cancellation fee is 100% of the total price.
Exceptions
Some charter companies have their own cancellation policy with different fees. If that is the case for your boat, their policy applies, and the charter company has the final say on any refund.
Free cancellation before confirmation only applies to a first instalment paid by credit card. If you paid by bank transfer, a cancellation fee of 12% to 50% applies.
