In most cases you must be at least 18 years old to rent a boat. That is the minimum age most charter companies set, and in many countries it is also the legal age for operating a boat.
When the minimum age is higher
Some charter companies set a higher minimum age for larger boats or boats with more powerful engines. Some boat owners also have their own requirements, for example a minimum age of 21 or a certain amount of sailing experience.

The rules also depend on where you rent. Different countries, and in the US different states, have their own laws on the minimum age for renting or operating a boat. Check the rules for your destination, or ask us when you book.
